I will be the "People's Mayor." No candidate has spent more time in more neighborhoods with more people than me.

I've been a Fresno police officer for 32 years. I see the best in the people of Fresno. People helping their neighbors. People making their community better.

I know that every dollar the bureaucracy wastes is money that should be spent improving the quality of life in our neighborhoods. As a Financial Crimes Investigator, I know how to find that waste.

No government program is better than a good job. As Mayor, I will run a City Hall that helps businesses that provide good jobs to our people.

As a police officer, I know nothing keeps kids out of trouble better than a good after-school program. As Mayor, I will build a partnership between our city and schools so every child has a place to go after school to do their homework and have good, clean fun.

In so many ways my life represents Fresno's diversity. My mother and father were farm workers. I sing in a largely African American gospel choir. My brothers and sisters are all hardworking family people.

I will be the "People's Mayor" - bringing Fresno together.
